WHAT: On Thursday, H-E-B and the Bethany House of Laredo will kick off the holiday season in Laredo by delivering special holiday meals to more than 1,500 local homebound seniors. H-E-B Partners (employees) and community members will deliver the festive meals, which includes baked turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetable medley, dinner roll and water. The H-E-B Feast of Sharing is a FREE community event open to the public. In Laredo, H-E-B plans to serve more than 12,000 guests. In addition to the holiday meal, the day will include live music and entertainment for the whole family. This year’s 29th Annual Feast of Sharing Dinner will be held from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4. Founded in 1989, the H-E-B Feast of Sharing dinners are an important part of the H-E-B Food Bank Assistance Program, which works year-round to prevent hunger in Texas and Mexico. The annual holiday feast includes more than 250,000 meals served during 33 dinners held throughout Texas and Mexico.

Bethany House of Laredo is a local non-profit founded by Father Charles McNaboe with the mission “to feed the hungry and shelter the homeless”.
