LAREDO, Texas (May 24, 2017) - After 10 years of classic rock and R&B sounds, the South Texas Food Bank Board decided to change the sound of their staple fundraiser event, Empty Bowls XI, which is set to take place at the Laredo Energy Arena on Friday, August 18, 2017. This year’s band will be the Tex-Mex Power Rock trio, Los Lonely Boys.
The South Texas Food Bank’s Empty Bowls has aimed to both create awareness about the realities of hunger and to celebrate the generosity of those individuals, businesses and organizations that have impacted and furthered the food bank’s mission of feeding the hungry in South Texas.
The event includes: a dinner, a benefit concert and a silent auction featuring artworks from both local and regional artists.
Sponsorship tables of 10 that include dinner and access to silent auction items are available. There are different levels of sponsorship available: Diamond $20,000, Platinum $10,000, Gold $5,000, Silver $2,500 and Bronze $1,500. Individual table tickets are $150. Table Tickets are available at the South Texas Food Bank office located at 1907 Freight at Riverside.

About Los Lonely Boys
Hailing from San Angelo, Texas, the Grammy Award winning band Los Lonely Boys are in the forefront of a music style they like to call "Texican Rock n' Roll" - a sound that combines elements of different music genres such as Texas blues, country, Tejano, and Latino and American rock ‘n’ roll.

Los Lonely Boys have produced a total of eight studio albums -Revelation, being their latest release - plus several live recordings, holiday and compilations albums. The band has recorded and performed with music legends like Carlos Santana and Willie Nelson.
After a couple of personal setbacks, Los Lonely Boys are back on the road this year with their nationwide Revelation tour to the delight of the thousands of fans, who have been waiting to see them in concert.
