Lebanon County (June 19, 2024) – The Senior FMNP from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is (A) to provide seniors resources in the form of fresh, nutritious, unprepared fruits and vegetables from farmer’s markets and (B) to expand the awareness and use of farmer’s markets. Check distribution is between June 1, 2024 and September 30, 2024, or until all gone. Checks expire November 30, 2024.
Seniors qualify by living in Lebanon County, being 60 years of age or older by December 31, 2024. There are income limits based on the entire household. These limits have increased since last year.
Qualifying seniors will receive FIVE $10.00 CHECKS to be used at approved vendors for Pennsylvania grown produce. A list of local vendors will be included with the checks. There is also an FMNP Market locator App for android and apple devices.
Lebanon County is using a hybrid model for Senior FMNP this year. This year we will continue our in-person distributions and have mail applications for those unable to attend an in-person event (mailed applications take longer to process). There are also proxy forms for seniors that are unable to shop for themselves.
