June 27, 2023 – Albuquerque, N.M. – Better Business Bureau of New Mexico Inc., announces today that Brian E, Baca the President/Chief Executive Officer for the Better Business Bureau of New Mexico and Southwest Colorado will be retiring at the end of October.
Following a long career of public service and utility leadership, Brian E. Baca announced his retirement from Better Business Bureau serving New Mexico and Southwest Colorado. A retired Colonel from the New Mexico Army National Guard, Mr. Baca was announced as President/CEO of BBB of New Mexico, Inc. in July 2012.
Soon after his tenure began, the local BBB moved into a beautiful building they were able to call their own on Jefferson St. in Albuquerque. This is where he kicked off BBB’s Shred Day events. BBB hosted the first two events in their parking lot, before partnering with local shredding companies to take it where it is today. Mr. Baca used this opportunity to show the public that the BBB was here in person and here to serve our community.
Over the years, Mr. Baca and his team have successfully developed relationships and partnerships with businesses in the areas BBB New Mexico serves. BBB of New Mexico, Inc. continues to recognize Accredited Businesses that have been staples in our community, develop and maintain relationships with local business chambers, and are constantly looking at ways to improve and build relationships with minority communities, businesses and consumers alike. In addition to Baca’s service to the National Guard and now BBB, he has served on numerous boards; and no doubt will be a staple in this community for years to come.
