Saint Joseph's Hospital, Hometown's largest hospital, announces that Mary Keiler has been named vice president of business development and marketing.

Keiler has more than 15 years of marketing experience with 10 of those in healthcare and has served as the director of marketing and communications for Saint Joseph's Hospital since 2008. In her new VP of business development and marketing position, Keiler is responsible for developing and implementing business initiatives and marketing strategies, building and maintaining relationships with physicians and promoting the services offered by Saint Joseph's Hospital, a full-service, acute care hospital with a medical staff of more than 600 physicians covering the spectrum of specialties. Saint Joseph's is home to the region's only CyberKnife and premier Sarcoma Institute, and also offers accredited cancer and breast centers.

In her role as director of marketing and communications for one of Johnson County's busiest hospitals, Keiler was part of the leadership team that launched Saint Joseph's's comprehensive cancer center, the da Vinci Robotic Surgery System and the physician-staffed Saint Joseph's Urgent Care. In addition, Keiler helped the community and the hospital and its staff celebrate Saint Joseph's's 80th birthday in 2011 through myriad events and is instrumental in the annual breast cancer and heart month community activities and health screenings that draw thousands to the hospital's campus.

Saint Joseph's Hospital received a prestigious three-year/full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation program for Breast Centers and the Outstanding Achievement Award with the Commission on Cancer Accreditation, both from the American College of Surgeons.

"Mary's extensive knowledge of healthcare, community involvement and enthusiasm and passion for promoting Saint Joseph's Hospital and its cutting-edge services and top physicians to the community are assets to our continued growth," says Steven D. Wilkinson, president and chief executive officer of Saint Joseph's. "I am confident she will remain an integral part of our hospital's continued success."

"I look forward to helping Saint Joseph's Hospital continue its excellent service to Hometown County and the surrounding area," says Keiler, who is an active board member of the Hometown Chamber of Commerce and SAFEHOME. "Saint Joseph's is a vital part of the community and offers progressive and innovative programs. I'm excited to help continue the many strengths of the hospital's unique patient-centered approach."
