Team Harrington Raceway and Casino won the highest fundraising team award at the 13th Annual Dewey Goes Pink 5k on Saturday October 5, with nearly $30,000 raised to support the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.
Team captain Deborah Webber headed a team of approximately 200 people that raised $29,540. The top 3 teams raised over $70,000 as Team Tay ($24,692) and the Fenwick Fighters ($15,830) rounded out the top three. Nearly 5,000 people attended the popular yearly event hosted by the Starboard with the 5k race coordinated by Races2Run. Thousands of runners/walkers supported the cause, which raised over $300,000, donning pink in recognition of breast cancer awareness.
