The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce (CDCC) hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Ice House: Wellness & Community, on September 17 at 10:00 a.m. The event was held at their facility in Wyoming, DE. Chamber members and friends joined new owner Katie Callahan and her team to celebrate the grand reopening of the Ice House: Wellness & Community under her new ownership. 

At age 19, Katie opened her own dance studio that operated for 25 years but was forced to close the doors in 2020 due to the pandemic. She then became a Personal and Group fitness trainer, in various forms of fitness. Plus, she has been a Holistic nutritionist for over 20 years. “I've been blessed to continue my passion, in person and virtually, by helping others reach their fitness and nutrition goals by providing the tools needed to transform,” explains Katie.

These strategies help strengthen a healthy life with movement, mindset, nutrition and our team’s support. Their beautiful space is also available for rent, and is perfect for intimate, small venue events including baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties, retirements and employee events. Ms. Callahan has joined the CDCC to give back to the community just as the former owner did. “I plan to be involved in helping other businesses grow and succeed. It would be amazing to give back to the community by offering my services, knowledge and background in future events,” said Katie.
