The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce (CDCC) hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for The Hive on Loockerman, on Friday, June 7th, at 1pm. The event was held at 28 W. Loockerman Street in Downtown Dover. Chamber members and friends joined Owner and operator, Chevonne Boyd and her team to celebrate the Grand Opening of this new business!

The heart of Downtown Dover is now home to a vibrant and dynamic new venue, The Hive on Loockerman (THL). THL is more than just your usual event venue. “It was created to be a member-based business event center dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs and nonprofit founders with the space, tools, and resources to nurture and grow their business,” explained Boyd. This versatile event space is set to become the go-to destination for a wide range of events, from corporate meetings and community gatherings to weddings, celebrations, and more!

The space features a copy center, huddle room, kitchenette, and sound treat podcast room. There are rooms for zoom meetings, audio/visual capabilities, secure Wi-Fi, and tables and chairs as well. THL is a comprehensive suite of services tailored to support small business needs. Clients can utilize complete event management facilitated through the Hive to ensure every detail is crafted to align with your company's vision and goals. Clients can even get assistance with event marketing through help with graphic design, and planning for a successful event.

Some ideas for utilizing THL's space could be a Board meeting for a local non-profit, book signing for a published author, corporate gathering and/or holiday celebration, day-time retreat space for a management team, full-day workshop for a life coach or instructor, or still or video recording session for a freelance photographer. The list of possible events at THL are extensive, however, “whatever the occasion, THL provides custom solutions to help clients elevate human connection and drive their mission forward!” THL can be rented hourly, for a half-day, or daily. 

The CDCC is excited to welcome the Hive on Loockerman, not only to the CDCC as a member, but to the Central Delaware and Downtown Dover community! The CDCC is excited to support Boyd’s business venture and to see the wonderful things this business will do for the community.
