HIDDEN VALLEY OPENS FOR SUMMER ZIPTOURS AND SCENIC CHAIRLIFT RIDES
Missouri’s premier adventure destination opens June 4th for summer fun

WILDWOOD, MO (April 29, 2021) – Hidden Valley, Missouri’s legendary winter resort, has announced summer operations for the 2021 summer season. Activities will open to the public starting Friday, June 4, and will include self-guided zip lining, scenic chairlift rides and hiking trails for the whole family. All opening dates will be compliant with state and local guidelines and may be subject to change.

Hidden Valley is best known for their winter activities including skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing which opened in 1982. They opened their summer activities in 2019 but remained closed for summer operations in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After a successful winter season unlike anything seen before, Hidden Valley is excited to welcome guests back this summer to experience the splendor of summertime at the resort.

“Ziplining is the area’s ‘Hidden Gem’ for summer fun,” said Brandon Swartz, general manager of Hidden Valley. “St. Louis is already a tourist destination, and it’s exciting to be included in this season’s must-do checklist.”

The re-open timing is perfect as families seek a return to normal and are looking for outdoor, family-friendly activities, our zip lining, scenic chairlift rides and hiking trails offer a fun and exciting alternative to screens, which many have become all too familiar with in the last year.

About Hidden Valley’s Summer Activities:

ZipTours: Each tour is self-guided with certified staff stationed throughout the course. The course features four spans ranging from 300' to 2800' and takes approximately 1.5 - 3 hours to complete. Nature trails link the zip line spans and the tour takes participants over and across Hidden Valley’s 250-acre property. Guests ride the scenic Gateway chairlift and even catch a glimpse of the downtown St. Louis skyline and the Gateway arch! The cost is $70, and you must be at least 10 years old and 48” tall to participate.

Scenic Chairlift Rides: Take the Gateway chairlift to the top of our main hill to view the rolling hills that make up the Meramac River Valley. On a clear day, guests can catch a glimpse of the downtown St. Louis skyline and the Gateway Arch. Ride the chairlift back down or hike on one of the designated trails to experience Hidden Valley in every season!

Hiking Trails: For those that like to keep both feet on the ground, Hidden Valley offers scenic hiking trails through the trees leading up to the peak, offering beautiful views and a glimpse of the downtown St. Louis skyline, including the Gateway Arch on a clear day.
