Job Description:

  • The Plant Manager leads, directs, facilitates, and optimizes all operations of the manufacturing plant in order to achieve business objectives.
  • The Plant Manager develops and executes strategic plans aligned with business goals.
  • The Plant Manager is accountable for all aspects of plant performance, with a focus on safety, quality, people, customer service, and performance.
  • Through employee engagement, the Plant Manager focuses on performance improvement, cost reduction, product delivery, and customer service.
  • Facilitate quality and service improvements, as well as cost reduction, by developing and implementing robust manufacturing processes and best practices
  • Develop and administer budget while improving conversion cost and reducing variances
  • Ensure robust HSE and security procedures and training are in place, and the site is following compliance as required by legislation and corporate policy
  • Mentor staff to optimize performance, drive results, and prepare for career development Lead and support programs that create a culture of respect, inclusion, and recognition
  • Communicate the company’s vision, values, and key results areas Manage plant equipment layouts and new equipment startups
Requirements

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing ERP system driven environment
  • 5 years of experience in a supervisory or people management role

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 10 years of experience in a manufacturing ERP system driven environment Experience with plant start-up’s and equipment layout
  • Evidence of successfully leading large scale projects
