Job Opportunities Return to ListingFood Service DirectorKenbrook Bible Camp-Lebanon, PAFull-TimeChefs and Cooks4 days agoResponsible for menu planning for nutritious, age and culturally appropriate meals for a variety of retreat groups and demographicsDevelop and maintain accurate food preparation sheets and menusPlan, prepare and serve excellent quality food in the context of safety, nutrition and guest needs Ensure food is ready to serve when scheduled with a high quality, excellent presentation Prepare meals as needed for guests with dietary restrictions (to the greatest extent possible)Develop routine cleaning and sanitizing schedule of all kitchen areas to be completed daily/weekly Ensure general cleaning (daily and weekly) of the kitchen, food storage, food handling areas and dining hall in accordance with Health Department regulations Clean kitchen and serving area thoroughly after each meal and at the end of each service period Oversee and staff food service operations for annual special events and/or fundraisers Ensure proper staffing levels by recruiting, interviewing and training kitchen staff members in conjunction with the Guest Services Director Manage staff and volunteers in the kitchen, dining room and dish area operations; including scheduling, performance feedback and evaluation Order food and kitchen supplies as needed; ensuring adequate quantities and minimizing waste Maintain accurate inventory record of all food and supplies (with expiration dates) Receive, verify and store food order and supplies properly Track food costs to maintain a fiscally responsible cost per plate Develop annual food service budget with supervisor and review monthly expense reports Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations, including ACA standards (to the greatest extent possible) Obtain and maintain First Aid Certification Provide quarterly department reports for the Board of Directors Attend Board of Directors meetings as requested Regular attendance at a local church RequirementsGrowing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ At least 21 years of age ServSafe Certified (or willing/able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire) Experience in cooking/food service operations for large groups Able to work weekends during most of the year Supportive of the mission, vision and values of Kenbrook Bible Camp Teachable spirit; team-player attitude; servant heart; responsible; industrious; hospitable Love for and desire to work with people in a camp and retreat setting Ability to communicate well with guests, staff and others (written and oral) Work efficiently and effectively unsupervised Able to stand for long periods of time and lift and carry up to 50 pounds Knowledge and understanding of Summer Food Service Program Reside onsite at Kenbrook (preferred, not required) Location190 Pine Meadow RdLebanon, PA 17046 ContactKenny Lane7178654547klane@kenbrook.orghttps://www.kenbrook.org/about-us/employment-opportunities/Share this job ShareTweetBusiness Directory | Chamber Events | Member Account | Community Events | Job Opportunities | Member Discounts | Member Headlines Advertisement
