Responsibilities:
= Responsible for day-to-day operational excellence of Unity’s mission, goals, and priorities.
= Oversees Unity’s fund management and financial activities.
= Supervises staff and works with our PEO for Human Resource functions Establishes relationships with both donors and grantees.
= Directs public awareness efforts toward promoting the good works of the Foundation.
= Works closely with the President to scale potential new funding opportunities.
= Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
= Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably with some emphasis on business administration, organizational management, philanthropy or communications.
= Certification in nonprofit management, fundraising (CFRE) or related discipline.
= At least three (3) years’ experience managing a nonprofit organization and in the development/implementation of plans and programs to achieve organizational objectives.
= At least three (3) years’ experience with community foundations, nonprofit management and fundraising.
= Previous experience managing and/or working on budgets, finances and fund accounting, investments and highly complex situations.
= Strong knowledge of La Porte County, its communities, issues and opportunities.
Schedule:
= Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
= This role requires in-office presence, with periodic remote-work opportunity.
