E. Position Specifications
The required specifications (education,
experience, and skills) are those that the
employee must have to hold the position. Applicants applying for this position must
possess the required specifications in order to
be considered for the job. The desired
specifications are those that are not required
for the employee to hold the position,
but the employee should try to obtain the desired
education, experience, and/or
skills to be effective and successful in the
position.
Required education High school student or graduate. Ability to operate a motor vehicle with valid driver’s license.
2. Desired
skills: Customer
service experience or training. Basic
familiarity with Microsoft Office tools. Some mechanical and equipment knowledge.
Physical Requirements:
A. Speaking/occasional: Worker needs to communicate verbally with
customers, other employees, and outside vendors.
B. Bending/frequent: Many job activities require bending or
stooping (i.e.
picking up chemicals, picking up trash, fixing
equipment issues, cleaning wash bays).
C. Breathing (non-assisted)/frequent: All job activities require the ability to
move around the facilities. Must be able to maintain breath and move
continually while performing tasks.
D. Lifting/frequent: Worker will be required to lift up to 50
pounds when
completing tasks. Not only is weight a consideration, but some
items are
large and awkward to handle.
E. Standing/frequent: Worker is required to stand when working for
long
periods of time depending on the task.
F. Walking/occasional: Worker is required to perform work in and
around the
facilities. Work is not confined to a specific work
location. Rapid pace is
needed to complete tasks in a timely fashion and
maintain the car wash standards.
Mental Requirements:
A. Concentrating/continuous: The quality of work has a direct impact on the
outcome of the tasks given. Worker must perform work correctly or the
results could lead to inefficiencies, safety
incidents, and potential downtime.
B. Conceptualizing/occasional: Worker is required to listen to or read
instructions when repairing equipment or
performing tasks. Worker is
responsible to retain accurate records when
necessary.
C. Learning/frequent: Worker is always learning new techniques on
improving
the life and durability of our company; training
is a continuous process that
starts on the first day of employment and never
ends.
D. Reasoning/frequent: Worker is required to understand requests and
comments from the managers, owners, customers,
etc. Need to be
capable of gathering information and determining
what steps are
necessary to safely complete the tasks given or
meet a need.
E. Thinking/continuous: Worker is required to take verbal and written
direction and to surmise how these specifically
apply to his/her
environment.
3. What
is the extent of direct or indirect impact on sales, expenses, profits, etc.?
Poor customer service, lack of time management,
and poorly maintained
equipment/facilities and inefficiently performing
tasks can result in reduced
productivity of the company as a whole. Staying focused on tasks while
thinking ahead and being aware of surroundings
are essential. Customers
must always be on the forefront of everything we
do.
F. Additional criteria which should be
recognized in evaluating the
scope and impact of this position.
Must develop a clear understanding of the
capabilities and products available to best inform the customer and maximize
customer experience.
This must be a reliable individual who needs
little supervision. Some tasks and
repairs
must be performed immediately regardless of when
the employee is scheduled to leave
work. May
have to work some weekends or be available on the weekend to address emergent
issues.
