Wildlife on The Move at Weatherford Public Library
Join us for a spectacular event this spring break when Wildlife on the Move comes to the library!

Mr. B will present The Unhuggables, a 45 minute show where we discover cool facts about great critters.

This is a ticketed event – the tickets are free and allow library staff to track the audience. Don’t forget to pick up your ticket before the event – the will be available starting at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 5th – and return them when you come to the show. 

All ages are welcome, but the content presented is best for kids aged from 6 to 13 years and parents are reminded that young children must be near their parents at all times.

As this is a service organization, we are collecting large bottles of shampoo and bath soap for Manna. 

Organization is searching for new members to carry on their mission to give to charities and organizations in need using the monies raised from their event center.

Quilter's Guild of Parker County March Meeting

The March meeting will feature Maggie Bell of Dragonfly Quilts.  Mrs. Bell is an award winning national and internatonal quilter with extensive teaching experience in the US and aboard. Her program "Innovative Quilts, Traditional Roots" will include a lecture as well as a trunk show of her work.

An "Op-Art Kaleidoscope" workshop will be offered on  Saturday, March 17.

"Art in Action" art show

This is a unique art show in that artists that are participating must be working on their art throughout the day.  It is FREE for the public to come watch as art takes form.  Some will even be available for sale.  There will be all mediums of art so don't miss this opportunity.

  There will be a children's area.  They can paint their own t-shirt with the Art in Action logo on it for $10.   They can draw on the easel and there will be face painting.

Offering different sessions of interest to both family caregivers and healthcare professionals, the Alzheimer’s Association Spring Symposium is the region’s largest event focused on Alzheimer’s care, treatment and research.  Celebrating its 15th year, the all-day event is known among caregivers and professionals for having expert speakers, a choice of informative and engaging presentations, and an exhibit hall where people can meet with dozens of businesses serving the needs of caregivers.

after March 4th cost will increase to $90.00
