This isn’t any old magic show – Brett Roberts has picked the most amazing bubble tricks in the world to dazzle audience members young and old! Please pick up your free ticket at the library, available starting 6/29/2017 at 12pm.

During this session, learn how to be safe when fighting on stage and how to make every blow look real when it’s not.

TCA Theater Camp

July 10-14

8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

For completed 3rd-6th graders

Cost: $110

Students will learn acting skills, singing technique, and choreography as they prepare a short musical play to perform Friday evening. Students will need to bring a costume from home.

TCA Girls Basketball Camp for completed 2nd - 5th graders

July 10-13

9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Cost: $100

TCA girls' basketball camp wll focus on instruction in shooting, passing, ball handling, and defense in a competitive and supportive atmosphere led by TCA coaching staff. Coaches will reach and refine fundamental basketball skills while motivating players to incorporate the intangibles of hustle, teamwork, positive attitude and competitiveness into their game.

Messy Art Camp at TCA

July 10-14

10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. 

For completed PK4-2nd graders

Cost: 110

Campers will have fun making messy art projects like painting, molding clay, and tye-dye shirts. We will do some art outisde and also have  quick snack break in the middle.

SYNOPSIS:

The Fourth of July is just days away, and 25-year-old Carnelle Scott is dancing her heart out. She has flaming red hair, a sparkler between her teeth, tap shoes on her feet, and The Star Spangled Banner on the tape deck, not to mention a burning desire to win the crown in this year's Miss Firecracker Contest- the annual beauty pageant in her tiny Mississippi town. Known around town as "Miss Hot Tamale" for a past that she would like to forget, Carnelle hopes a Firecracker victory will help her shake her tarnished reputation and leave town in a blaze of glory.

Carnelle Scott - Female, to play 20's - the beauty contestant

Popeye Jackson - Female, to play 20's or 30's - Carnelle's seamstress

Elain Rutledge - Female, to play 20's or 30's - Carnelle's first cousin; a beauty

Delmount Williams - Male, to play 20's or 30's - Carnelle's first Cousin; Elain's brother

Mac Sam - Male, to play 30's or 40's - the balloon man

Tessy Mahoney - Female, to play 20's or 30's - the beauty contest coordinator 

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.  A perusal copy is available at the theatre.

All the world is a stage… and you can have a part to play! This series of workshops for teens aged 12 to 18 explores the works of William Shakespeare and how to present a stage play, culminating with a production of an original play inspired by ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.

In this session, learn about creating a world onstage with costumes and sets.
