Rapunzel & Hyronomous A. Frog, The Frog Prince
THEATRE OFF THE SQUARE IN WEATHERFORD proudly presents their

Boettcher-Tate and Hyronomous A. Frog,
The Frog Prince, adapted by Edith
Weiss, both produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama. These
productions are directed by Katie Arthurs and Laurel Summerfield with Coty
McNiel as Assistant Director and Jessica Michel as Stage Manager. Rapunzel and Hyronomous A. Frog, The Frog Prince begin Friday, June 30, and run two

Rene Shwartzbuckle is cuckoo for a turnip-like vegetable
called rapunzel. When she spots a mouth-watering patch of the plant in
Witch Izwitch’s garden, she sends her husband Walt out to ’borrow’ some. Witch
Izwitch is certainly not amused! We then jump ahead many years to Rapunzel
Shwartzbuckle’s 18th birthday. The witch whisks poor, innocent Rapunzel away to
a tower in the forest. From here, a boisterously entertaining rescue attempt
begins! Filled with plenty of action and fresh,
hysterical characters, this show gives a new twist to an old story and a gentle
message about the nature of beauty.
