Where:
The parade route will begin at the WHS Ninth Grade Center and head north on South Main around the courthouse onto Palo Pinto Street and then south on Waco to Russell Street. During the parade, a portion of South Main will temporarily close starting at 11 a.m. The parade is expected to last about an hour.

All the world is a stage… and you can have a part to play! This series of workshops for teens aged 12 to 18 explores the works of William Shakespeare and how to present a stage play, culminating with a production of an original play inspired by ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.For the first session, enjoy an introduction to the world of the Bard. Budding actors can also audition for the play, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream Lite’, which will be performed on Friday, 7/28/17 and Saturday 7/29/17.

The Lone Star Guitar Festival and Competition
 The Lone Star Guitar Festival, Weatherford College and Guitar Fort Worth are proud to present the 2017 Lone Star Guitar Festival and Competition in Weatherford, Texas! Featuring concerts by Matthew McAllister (Scotland), Azuline Duo (Canada), Rene Izquierdo (Cuba), Timothy Phelan (Canada) and Celil Refik Kaya (Turkey). Receive lessons from each of our concert artists as well as guest instructors, Kevin Manderville, Steve Gottlieb, Michael Dailey, Tom Johnson, Eddie Healy and Héctor A. Torres González! There will be a vendors expo with beautiful handmade concert guitars, workshops for players of all levels and a competition with a top prize of $1,000 and a solo concert in the world renowned The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Many thanks to the Special Events Committee for our wonderful Style Show at the May meeting!  Also to our ladies who attended the Scholarship luncheon and Silent Auction.  The monies made from these events sponsor scholarships for young women at Weatherford College.   

At the June meeting, we will focus on our health as the CEO of Weatherford Regional Hospital will speak to us about the facilities and their services.   It is renewal time for our club $35, during June and July.
