Yep, they finally let me out of the house.  After 25+ years of creating graphic design as BlumeDesign, I am now the Creative Director at Rebuild Nation. Basically, this means that I don’t/can’t work in my schleppy, torn white Hanes undershirt and blue jeans, sitting at my Mac desktop day-in and day-out, but rather I scoot down the Lodge with laptop in tow, to some pretty cool digs in Detroit City (shout out to my sis).  And I love every minute of it.

My job is to make Rebuild Nation and our clients look good.  From designing logos, to creating brochures, ads, websites, displays, books, and everything in between, I spend my days creating, coordinating, and overseeing all of the advertising campaign materials that pass through our office.  I love manipulating and organizing text, fonts, photos, and illustrative graphics into cool pieces that will make our clients proud to own.

Mostly though, I just love being around and benefiting from the ‘young people’ that I work with (they are very kind, and simply call me ‘experienced’), and hopefully my years of conducting ‘business’ adds to the blend of the very talented group that is Rebuild Nation.

When I am not graphically rebuilding, I spend a lot of time on the tennis court, spend a lot of time eating my husband’s gourmet cooking, spend a lot of time walking our doggy Teddy, and spend a bit less time, albeit valuable, with our two adult daughters, whenever they happen to be around.
