Stacy Cramer Moore is one of Shawnee’s “boomerangs” having lived here in the 2000’s, moved away, and came back in 2019 when the City made her an offer she couldn’t refuse to be the first director of the City of Shawnee’s Department of Tourism. In 2021, Shawnee was Oklahoma's Tourism Organization of the Year and won website of the year from the Oklahoma Tourism Industry Association. She is a CTA - Certified Tourism Ambassador.
She may be familiar to some of you, having worked in community and economic development for the Oklahoma Department of Commerce and the United States Department of Agriculture throughout the state.
She received a congressional accommodation from Frank Lucas for service to Oklahoma, having helped over 250 communities and organizations accomplish their goals through strategic planning, funding and implementation.
Prior to becoming the Director of Tourism, Stacy was the director of the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center in Duncan, Oklahoma’s attraction of the Year, four times, and a top ten western museum in the US, twice. She was an organizing member of the Chisholm Trail coalition which consisted of over 600 organizations, attractions, and communities from three states. During her time there, she wrote and administered $3M+ in grants and hosted nearly 150,000 school-aged participants in their award-winning programs.
