I’m
Brian Conway, founder of Ascent Public Relations, and I’m proud to call Allen
home. I lead a results-driven communications agency dedicated to elevating
brands through strategic planning and support, media relations, content production,
crisis communications, and social media advertising.
I’ve
evolved my natural penchant for storytelling into more than 16 years of PR and
Communications experience, working with brands of varying sizes to bring forth
their unique stories in a way that compels audiences to action. I am formerly
the head of Corporate Communications & PR at TGI Fridays, and prior to
that a Digital Director at Weber Shandwick.
Brand
experience includes American Airlines, U.S. Army, Unilever, The Vision Impact
Institute, HOYA Vision Care, Conduent, Breathe Right™ Nasal Strips, United
States Postal Service, and Essilor of America.
Crisis
expertise includes response team participation, response planning, media
training, listening and analytics, and training clients to respond effectively
during a crisis. Experience includes American Airlines, TGI Fridays, Royal
Caribbean Cruise Lines, and Cathay Pacific Airlines.
I
grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana before attending Loyola University New
Orleans where I earned my BA in Communications with a concentration in Public
Relations and a minor in Psychology. My wonderful wife is an elementary
schoolteacher in Allen, and while we love Texas, we share an unfettered love of
the Pelican State. I’m also a member of both PRSA and the Allen-Fairview
Chamber of Commerce.
