T.D. Mills Promotional Products Celebrates 60th Anniversary
Although the forecast outside was cloudy, inside you could find only shining faces and smiles at T.D. Mills Promotional Products’ 60th
Anniversary Celebration, held at The Englewood on April 11.
Pride was palpable around every corner as TD Mills staff members greeted customers and community members throughout the day. There was much to celebrate considering the rich history of success this small business has achieved. Former owner, Tom Mills and his wife, Janice, were there to revel in the legacy that Tom’s family created back in 1964.
“This is about 60 years of being in business, and that is an accomplishment that most cannot say they do, right? And especially a small business.” State Representative (106th
District) Thomas L. Mehaffie, III could not have said it better in his remarks
to recognize T.D. Mills Promotional Products with an official citation on
behalf of the House of Representatives and the 106th District of the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
His heartfelt address honored the current owners, Tom and Dori Garman, and original owner, Tom Mills for their continued success. Representative Mehaffie’s final statement, “Having small businesses succeed in the district, in the county, and within the commonwealth is truly the backbone of this commonwealth and what makes Pennsylvania great,” was an appropriate conclusion to the energetic presentation.
Throughout the entirety of the celebration, T.D. Mills’ staff were mingling with clients among the nine vendor tables that featured a colorful array of garments and promotional products. The day would not have been complete without an address of sincere gratitude from Tom Garman to the Mills family, the T.D. Mills staff, and the loyal customers that were in attendance. His remarks included, “Thank you to our customers, especially our customers, for you make it possible for us to come to work every day.” Garman continued with, “Your loyalty to T.D. Mills is appreciated by so many. Not just the salespeople in front of you, but everyone involved, making sure the final product is of great quality and delivered on time.”
