Jonestown Bank & Trust Co. (JBT) recently presented a donation of $2,500 to Lebanon Valley Family YMCA. The bank’s charitable contribution will support the YMCA’s Pre-Kindergarten Scholarship Program. As part of it’s commitment to help strengthen local communities, JBT regularly participates in Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program, including this $2,500 contribution.

Bob Mease, Director of Development, Lebanon Valley Family YMCA, stated, “This donation will help many families in our community access the best possible educational opportunities for their children, giving them a better chance to succeed. We thank everyone at JBT for their community spirit and generosity.”

Troy A. Peters, JBT President and CEO, is also a YMCA director and member of the executive committee. He noted, “From its basic health and fitness programs to community development services, the YMCA may be the most impactful local organization we have in the Lebanon Valley. A true gem!”  The bank also supports additional YMCA initiatives, including contributions to the organization’s capital campaign, helping to create the JBT Cycling Room. In recent years, JBT has also been a major sponsor of the YMCA’s annual fund-raising golf tournaments.
