The Homer Cole Community Center is searching for new sponsor(s) for
our semimonthly BINGO games for our seniors in the coming year. We
host two hour-long BINGO sessions each month at no cost to
participants, and have traditionally provided token prizes (average <$2
each) to the winners. We are specifically looking for a total of $1,200
for the next year, which can be as small as four $300 sponsors (or any
combination depending on each sponsor’s desired donation). If you
have gift cards for your business, that in-kind donation could also
work!
Thanks to a generous grant from the Future Fund at the Community
Foundation of Southeast Kansas, we were able to provide prizes to
every participant plus a $10 Chamber Bucks gift certificate for the final
‘blackout’ game, very popular and exceptionally well received (and it
supports local business).
Sponsors will receive verbal / visual recognition at each BINGO session,
as well as a sign posted on our “Shout Out” wall recognizing donors all
year for the estimated 700 events and 16,000 visitors to the Homer Cole Community Center each year,
including the SEKAAA 60+ Nutrition in-house diners and 700 unique participants in the AARP Volunteers
in Tax Assistance program.
