Two new exhibits are now on display at the La Porte County Historical Society Museum! The first exhibit is a traveling exhibit from Indiana Historical Society called the 'Lost Landmarks of Indianapolis'. This traveling exhibit explores the important buildings and neighborhoods of Indianapolis that have been lost and how the demolitions of the mid-twentieth century led to a movement that challenged ideas about what should be destroyed and what should be saved. This exhibit will be on display until November 7.

The second exhibit to open is the Lost Cemeteries of La Porte County. This exhibit highlights 16 known cemeteries that have been lost to time as they have been either abandoned, destroyed, or forgotten. This exhibit shares the research done by Gloria D. Arndt and Patricia Gruse Harris, who spent years researching these extinct cemeteries. The exhibit will be on display until November 27.
