The La Porte County "Historians of the Year" for 2024 will be honored on Tuesday, September 17. The program will be held at the La Porte County Historical Society Museum at 7:00 PM. Honorees will be recognized for their work in helping to promote and preserve the history of La Porte County. 

The individual “Historian of the Year” will be Dorothy Palmer, and the “Historian of the Past”, being honored posthumously, is George Wood Allen. The two county businesses being recognized for their many years of continuous service to the people of La Porte County and beyond are Larson-Danielson Construction and Cutler Funeral Home. 

All society members and the public are welcome to attend the evening's presentations. We hope to see everyone on September 17 to honor the "Historians of the Year".
