We seek a dedicated and compassionate individual for the role of Community Center Assistant. This impactful position involves outreach to community stakeholders to increase awareness and market the programs and services of the recovery community center. The role includes engaging with individuals who participate in events to foster a sense of community and peer investment, assisting with planning events and services to support the community center’s objectives and contributing to a positive work environment through cooperation and collaboration with colleagues. The Community Center Assistant is vital in promoting recovery, providing support, and ensuring the smooth operation of the center’s programs and activities.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's
degree in public health or related area preferred; High
School diploma or equivalency required.
- Experience with Canva, Constant
Contact, and social media is preferred.
- Excellent time management and
organizational skills
- Must have a valid driver's
license and independent mode of transportation
- Ability to be sensitive,
flexible, and responsive to gender, race, ethnicity, socio-economic
status, religion, and age. Sexual orientation or any special needs as
reflected in the ability to communicate with cultural competence toward staff and/or recovery
community participants.
