JOB SUMMARY:

 

FCB Banks is looking for talented, hardworking, energetic professionals to join our growing team in both customer facing and customer support positions. We are a locally owned community bank offering a broad range of products and services delivered with great customer service.

A Universal Banker is responsible for handling customer transactions in a professional manner while providing prompt and accurate service.  They are responsible for assessing and handling customers’ banking needs, obtaining and processing customer and account information and cross-selling bank products and services.  A successful Universal Banker is energetic, is able to multi-task and has excellent organization and communication skills.

Job Type:         Full-Time

Hours:              Availability during bank operating hours (Monday - Friday 7:45 am - 6:15 pm, Saturdays 7:45 am - 6:15 pm)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Advise current and prospective customers on bank products and services that are best suited to fit their needs
  • Assist customers with opening and managing their bank accounts and finances; refer customers to other staff within the bank as needed
  • Ensure efficiency of operations and adhere to policies and procedures
  • Create positive public perceptions of the bank through courteous, friendly and professional interactions
  • Complete bank transactions timely and accurately while acting as a Personal Banker and New Account Representative
  • Manages cash drawer by balancing throughout work shift, counting and packaging currency and coins, reconciling transactions and maintaining supply of cash and currency
  • Maintains customers confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential and secure
  • Solicits assistance from management as needed by seeking management approval for special or unusual transactions or requests and notifying management of suspicious and questionable transactions

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

Working knowledge of:

  • Bank operations, policies and procedures, related federal and state laws and requirements
  • CIP policy
  • Bank products and services
  • Deposit account rules/regulations
  • Computer system and software; teller terminal
  • ACH and check clearing operations
  • Office equipment such as copier, fax machine, telephone and calculator
  • Teller operations and procedures, including regulatory compliance

Basic knowledge of:

  • Safe deposit operations, procedures and related regulations
  • CRA policy
  • BSA policy

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
  • 1+ year(s) banking experience preferred
  • 3+ years customer service experience preferred
  • 3+ years sales experience preferred
