The Associate Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of heavy duty equipment and specialized equipment used in the maintenance and/or construction of roads, bridges and dams as well as other highway maintenance.
Duties include:
- Spraying herbicides
- Assisting with snow and ice removal
- Flagging for traffic control
- Assisting carpenters and masons
- Daily inspection and maintenance of equipment
- Operation of light to heavy duty trucks, tractors, mowers, loaders, rollers, forklifts, backhoes, chippers, boom axes, mixers, etc.
- Performing manual labor and fueling equipment
- Assisting with construction and maintenance of roads and drainage systems for roadways
- Assisting with installation of pipes and pipelines
