Responsible for installation and maintenance of all County road signs, setting up all traffic control situations, and assisting Traffic Operations Supervisors.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Experience in highway maintenance and construction operations preferred.
- Valid Class "B" Commercial Driver's License with Air Break Endorsement.
- Possession of Valid DOT Physical Card.
- Flagger, Forklift, Homeland Security, CPR/First Aid and Fire Extinguisher certified.
- Willingness to be on call 24 hours per day for emergency situations.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Must be wary of surroundings when working around moving traffic.
- Must be able to work independently in the absence of supervision.
- Must have knowledge in the methods, procedures, materials, equipment, and tools used for the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic control signs and pavement markings.
