The Senior Recreation Specialist assists the Recreation Superintendent in directing and managing comprehensive public recreation and events for the citizens of Wicomico County and residents of the Eastern Shore. This role assists with managing operating funds and procurement to carry out all recreation programs and events.
- Supervises program directors and support staff to execute the mission of the department;
- Works with stakeholder groups such as the Wicomico County Board of Education, volunteer boards, and recreation councils to see that recreational opportunities are made possible to all members of the community throughout the County;
- Administers programs/events, facility management, budget management, volunteer/staff recruitment/management, inventory tracking and procurement, and registration.
