Assist in the supervision and management of the Park Division staff to ensure the needed maintenance of the facilities is completed. Oversee daily operations of the Park Division and various projects. Perform various administrative tasks as required by Superintendent of Parks. Perform inspections of facilities, grounds and equipment. Plan and oversee safety training for staff. Assist with the planning, layout, set-up and running of numerous special events throughout the year. Assist with the Recreation and Tourism staff to complete their projects and events.
Qualifications
Person must have strong public relation skills as position will be interacting with contractors, staff members, other County employees and the public. Must be a self –starter. Experience in maintaining grounds and buildings. Should have good oral, written communication and computer skills. Experience in supervising a staff of different skill levels, responsibilities and backgrounds. Knowledge of sport field maintenance is a plus. Should have experience in a variety of equipment operation related to Park maintenance. Should have desire for continuing education as job and position evolves.
