Company Description

The Kentlands Community Foundation is a not-for-profit educational and cultural organization established in 1993 and dedicated to enriching civic life. Our mission is to build community by supporting local arts and cultural activities, providing opportunities for volunteerism, and serving as an educational resource on the landmark “new urbanist” community that is Kentlands.

Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid Executive Director role located in Gaithersburg, MD, with flexibility for some remote work. The Executive Director will be responsible for setting and executing strategic goals, developing and managing budgets, leading fundraising efforts, building relationships with stakeholders, and overseeing volunteers. The Executive Director will work closely with the Board to ensure the success of the Foundation's mission.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in non-profit organizations, including strategic planning, fundraising, and volunteer management
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with Board members, volunteers, and community stakeholders
  • Experience in grant writing, donor cultivation, and other fundraising techniques
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the Kentlands Community Foundation
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience
