On behalf of the United Way of Parker County, we would like to invite you to be a part of our 32nd Annual Peach Pedal Bike Ride. This year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the guidelines set forth by the CDC we will be adjusting how we fundraise while we safely work together for such a vital cause for our local community. This year marks the 32nd year for the Peach Pedal Bike Ride and as in true pedal fashion we want to ensure that we can meet the needs of our local non-profits as we work to raise funding for and still have some fun along the way.
What is a virtual bike ride?
Due to current restrictions regarding large gatherings, participants can complete the event remotely at their own time, pace and even place giving them the freedom and flexibility to support our cause. It is a win- win, when participants can choose the day, the weather and their route while raising money and having some fun along the way. Those that register can ride on the route of their choosing, stationary bike, or on their local trail while practicing social distancing and other safety measures. Virtual races also allow people from all over to participate.
The Peach Pedal Bike Ride is one of our annual fundraising events for the United Way of Parker County and the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce. Monies raised provide vital program funding for the following non-profits in our community: CASA, Children’s Advocacy Center, Child Protective Services Board, Center of Hope, Freedom House, MANNA, Parker County Committee on Aging, Sanctified Hope for Women and Stars & Strides Therapeutic Riding.
