The Sussex County Trails Partnership will be hosting a Trail Clean Up on Friday, November 15. We will clear brush from the section of the Paulinskill Valley Trail heading northeast from County Road 610 at the Stillwater/Fredon border.
Groups and individuals will meet at 8:30 a.m. Company teams welcome!
Since we are clearing brush, we strongly encourage you to bring tools to assist with this work! Please bring tools such as weed wackers, clippers/loppers, hedge trimmers, etc. as well as your gloves, sunscreen, bug spray, water, snack, long pants and long sleeve shirt for protection against brush, etc. NO chainsaws are permitted.
Volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application. Please visit https://www.nj.gov/dep/parksandforests/getinvolved/volunteers.html and print the form, complete, and bring it with you to the clean-up event.
We look forward to seeing you there!
DIRECTIONS: The trail is located at GPS coordinates 41°02'34.4"N 74°50'47.1"W, just a few hundred feet down Route 610 from 959 Fredon Road. Parking is available at the trail head, or on the East Shore Drive side of that "triangle", on the grass across the road from the Sussex County DPW garage.
