General Job Summary:  This is a full-time position located on the Emmetsburg Campus. Primary responsibility is to provide support to students and/or families in obtaining federal financial aid, advise and give guidance for borrowing loans and financial literacy, learn and follow all federal regulations, and administer all Title IV and state grants. Advise students when borrowing/taking out loans. Provide financial literacy for students. Supervise Financial Aid Office Associate.

 Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check. Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree in Education or Financial Aid/Student Services area preferred. Community college experience and/or one to two years financial aid/student services or related experience preferred. Must possess excellent people skills and a thorough understanding of Community Colleges and the role they play in the state educational system. Ellucian experience preferred.
