Ribbon Cutting - Smoking Monster BBQ & Sushi Bar

Salisbury’s newest restaurant, Smoking Monster BBQ & Sushi Bar, invites members and the community to a ribbon cutting to celebrate their grand opening.

Woman and family owned and operated, Smoking Monster, is the first restaurant of its kind in Wicomico County, offering a fusion of unique Korean Asian BBQ and sushi.  Korean barbecue (KBBQ) is a communal dining experience of grilling marinated meat at the table. It's often made with beef, pork, or chicken, and is known for its sweet taste.

Chefs for Habitat Kentucky Derby Gala

Grab your fascinators and bow ties as we head for the finish line! We are running for the roses in our Kentucky Derby themed event this year. In addition to the sumptuous signature small plates provided by our 25 gala chefs, guests will enjoy music and dancing, and have the opportunity to bid on an array of silent auction prizes, featuring catered dinners and parties crafted by some of the Shore’s best chefs.
Help us break the poverty cycle through safe, affordable housing. Sponsors receive tickets to the event, great publicity, and feel the gratification that they are helping hardworking Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.
In this, our 37th year, Wicomico Habitat has created 91 homeownership opportunities for deserving, low-income families in Wicomico County, and completed over 126 Critical Home Repairs in Wicomico and Somerset Counties. We succeed in building homes, building families, and building neighborhoods because of the tremendous support of you, our community.

General Membership Luncheon

The March General Membership Luncheon will feature Eric Morgan, Piedmont Airlines President and CEO. The luncheon will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 11:30 AM at the Black Diamond Lodge in Fruitland, MD.

Morgan began his airline career as a part-time customer service agent at Greenbrier Valley Airport in West Virginia working for the original Piedmont Airlines. He has more than 40 years of airline experience and has worked, managed and taught in numerous roles during his career in the airline industry. Prior to being promoted to president in 2020, he led the Piedmont Ground Handling team since 1999.

Piedmont Airlines, the airport's sole commercial carrier, currently flies to 80 U.S. destinations and is headquartered in Salisbury, Maryland. 

Morgan will outline future plans of regional commercial air travel from SBY Airport, what to expect in the coming years across the country, and the many career opportunities available with Piedmont Airlines.

Join WSW on Thursday, March 20,, 2025 for our 23rd Annual Pink Ribbon bingo. We are back at Willards Lions Club. 

Our usual themed basket prizes with Pampered Chef and Thirty-One will be available, cash game prizes, raffles and 50/50.
