Our local Senators and House of Delegates members will address legislation debated, passed, and defeated in Annapolis.

The 2025 State of the Wicomico County Public Schools Luncheon will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Wicomico Civic Center.

The State of the Wicomico County Public Schools Luncheon is an opportunity to hear from the Superintendent of Wicomico County Public Schools, Dr. Micah Stauffer. 

Dr. Stauffer will discuss achievements and areas in need of improvement throughout the county, as well as plans for future success.

The Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce, Evolution Craft Brewing Co. and Southern Boys Concepts are pleased to announce that the 16th Annual Taste of the Town with Delmarva Eats will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Dove Pointe in Salisbury, MD.

This "Iron Chef Competition" features restaurants from all across Delmarva, who will present samplings of their best dishes in one of three categories: 

Simple Tastes - represents casual, light fare

Signature Tastes - represents upscale, more refined dishes

Delectable Dessert - represents the creme de la creme of Delmarva desserts

Attendees have tickets used to cast their vote in each category. The participant with the most votes wins their category and is presented with a commemorative plaque, cash prize, and recognition in the media and on Chamber websites.

Music will be provided by DJ Randy Potter, Revive Sound Productions, LLC. 

Participation is FREE to all Delmarva Restaurants!

The June General Membership Breakfast will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 8:00 AM at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center. The event is presented by Absolute Security Group, Inc. and Colonial Life.

Leaders from police agencies across Delmarva will gather for the first annual Law Enforcement Leaders of Delmarva Forum and Breakfast, sharing challenges and opportunities facing their respective departments.

Topics that will be discussed include juvenile crime, how each agency is adapting to the changing political landscape, staffing challenges and what future opportunities and obstacles lie ahead. Wicomico County States Attorney Jamie Dykes will moderate the forum.
